My Gear
Here is an abbreviated list of items I am bringing on the road trip. I am bringing so much more than what is on this page, but I wanted to share with everyone the major equipment that will keep me safety and happy on the road.
2014 Subaru Forester

The vehicle that will make or break this journey which I bought used about 4 years ago. It will have approximately 76,000 miles on it at the beginning of the trip.
Smittybilt Overlander Tent
This rooftop tent will be my home for the vast majority of the time on the trip. I decided to get a rooftop tent so that I am off the ground at night and it also saves storage space in the Forester since the tent folds on on the roof. There is a 2" foam mattress that comes with the tent, but I have added a 1" memory foam topper.

Rechargable Battery & Solar Panels
Since I am going to be taking a lot of video, I needed a battery that would let me charge my cameras while I am camping. This battery plugs into the car's cigarette lighter and re-charges when I am on the road. I also bought the solar panel that lets me charge it while the car is parked.

Mountain Bike and Gear
I have a Raleigh Talus 2 mountain bike (though mine is black and red). I also picked up a lot of other gear to keep me safe and comfortable on the trails.
GoPro Hero 7 Black
I decided to get the GoPro7 Black as well as additional mounts. This will be my primary method of shooting video for the trip.
Spot X GPS
For safety's sake, I bought a Spot X GPS tracker. If I get injured or lost, I can reach out to search and rescue anywhere in the world. There is a small monthly charge ($15) but I can cancel anytime and it gives me peace of mind. This also allows me to broadcast my location on Google Maps so you can follow along.
